Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guideline: Iodine Nutrition During Pregnancy
The Endocrine Society in the U.S. published updated guidelines on the management of thyroid dysfunction during pregnancy and postpartum in 2012. The set of guidelines also include advice on iodine requirements during pregnancy. Link

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) Guidelines: Antenatal Care – Update on Vitamin D Supplementation During Pregnancy
The NICE guideline CG 62 published in 2008 replaced the previously published guideline in Antenatal care in 2003. This updated guideline includes recommendation on vitamin D supplementation based on evidence, which reinforces the critical need of vitamin D during pregnancy and lactation. Link

• All women should be informed the importance of adequate vitamin D during pregnancy and breastfeeding at their first antenatal booking
• Pregnant women are advised to take 10 mcg of vitamin D per day in the form of a multivitamin supplement
